Fundraising for Diam Rek
This day retreat is a fundraiser for Diam Rek Charity, as we wish to support their goal of delivering 50 wheelchairs to rural Senegalese communities this winter. Diam Rek aim to promote independence, resilience and a more active role in society for wheelchair users through skill sharing camps with activities such as surfing and wheelchair skills.
The slogan ‘Bringing Movement’ is an idea which will align with our retreat, with each different practice allowing space for movement, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
There will be a delicious, nutritious and wholesome lunch provided.
The venue will be the very peaceful Roselidden Farm, near Helston in Cornwall.

Providing good quality and appropriate wheelchairs to those who need them most in rural Senegal we can directly impact the quality of disabled peoples’ lives and enable them to have a more active role in their community. We aim to deliver 50 wheelchairs to Senegalese communities in the Winter of 2024 and provide wheelchair skills and maintenance workshops.

Workshop led by:
Poppy Burford is a certified 200hr RYT, with a passion for a balanced blend between holistic wellness and fitness. When on the mat, Poppy enjoys building strong foundations that make her feel empowered.
Amelia Adrian has an established Yoga and Meditation practice spanning over 25 years. Amelia is a certified Aromatherapist who uses Aromatics to support emotional and physical healing, often using them in Yoga classes and practice as a way to deepen relaxation.
Kate Burford has been practicing shiatsu for over thirty years and her classes are fun, relaxed and informative. Kate has worked extensively in the area of women’s health, as well as with people of a variety of backgrounds in a holistic way.
